Carol N. (Mantius) Rouleau, 60, of 18 Fernwood Road and formerly of East Providence, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.
Born in Providence and raised in Chepachet, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Olga (Johnson) Mantius. She lived in Bristol for two years, and previously resided in East Providence for more than 30 years.
She was a scheduler for the former Alpert's Furniture Company in Seekonk for several years, retiring in 2003 due to illness. She had previously worked in customer service for the former Ann and Hope store in Seekonk.
She started her career in the early 1970s for Allendale Insurance, was a 1966 graduate of Ponaganset High School, and received an associate degree in accounting from Rhode Island Junior College, as well as an associate degree in English from CCRI. She was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy and games shows on TV.
She leaves a daughter, Jennifer L. Camara of Bristol, with whom she resided; two nieces, Linda Whelan and Barbara St. Denis; a nephew, Tim Deitrich; two great-nephews and a great-niece. She was the sister of the late Doris Beard.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Sansone Funeral Home. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNS of Newport and Bristol Counties, P.O. Box 690, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
