Clyde Shover -- Fairbanks, Alaska
Clyde A. Shover, 81, of Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Bradley, died March 4, 2006 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 170 E. John Casey Rd., Bourbonnais. Brother David Dickerson will conduct the service. Burial of cremains will be in Bonfield Cemetery.
Mr. Shover was a heavy equipment operator for Wien Airlines. He did sheet metal and maintenance work. He was born July 9, 1924, in Indiana Harbor, Ind., the son of Joseph and Iva Shutters Watson Shover. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He had a lucrative hobby of buying and selling recyclables, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and dreaming about restoring his boat.
Surviving are one sister, Florence LaReau of Bradley; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Maurice and Mildred Shover of Buckingham, Melvin Watson of Bradley; and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
Six sisters and four brothers are deceased.
