Irene E. St. Ours

Irene Emma (Beaulieu) St. Ours, age 85, of Alicia Circle, Tiverton RI, passed away Wed-nesday, June 25, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Wife of the late Eugene T. St. Ours

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Henry Beaulieu and the late Olivine (Croteau) Beaulieu. Mrs. St. Ours worked for Chase Curtain Company as a seamstress for many years, she was an active parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Tiverton. She was also involved in the Niagra Club, St. Theresa's Senior Club and the Sakonnet Club.

She is survived by her sons, Eugene T., Raymond A., Donald J. and Roger E. St. Ours, her daughters, Clarie A. Arruda, Rita J. Reinhagen, and Susan M. Cornell, a brother Phillip Beaulieu, fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Richard W. St. Ours and a sister to the late Alfred, William, Edward, and Earnest Beaulieu and the late Mary Alice Dufour.

Mrs. St. Ours Funeral Service will be held from BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church Stafford Road, Tiverton, RI at 10:00AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 followed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Flowers are welcome, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903

FRANKLIN - Roger E. Desrochers, 80, of Liberty Ave., Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on Dec. 25, 2004.

Roger E. Desrochers He was born in Franklin on March 4, 1924, the son of Ernest and Annie (Lafrenier) Desrochers. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin and graduated from St. Mary School in 1938 and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942 in the top third of his class. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.

He entered the Marine Corps in 1942. He served in the 4th Marine Division until 1945 and saw action in the Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima campaigns. He was employed at the JP Stevens Co. for 24 years, Edison Electronics in Manchester for 10 1/2 years, was a foreman at Surrette Battery in Tilton for seven years, and the U.S. Postal Service in Manchester for five years before retiring in 1988.

He was supervisor of the checklist in Franklin for several years and served as a city councilman in Ward 2 from 1972-1980. He was a former Deputy Grand Knight of the Fr. AJ Timon Knights of Columbus Council #2170 and was a life member of Franklin VFW Post 1698 and the 4th Marine Division Association. Mr. Desrochers was a life member of the N.H. Veterans Association and belonged to AARP. He was a communicant of St. Paul Church.

His wife of 52 years, Yvonne (Beaupre) Desrochers, died in 2001. He was predeceased by a brother, Roland J. Desrochers, who died in 1991, and a step brother, Robert Beaudin.

Family members include a son and his wife, Robert and Janet Desrochers of Franklin, a daughter and her husband, Simone and Arthur Cushing of Meredith; six grandchildren: Robert, Daniel and John Desrochers, Vicky-Lynn, Kimberly and Lisa Cushing; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
