Charles Robert "Bob" Timberlake, 82, of Franklin, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2007.
Born in Scioto County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Horace Timberlake and Sarah Jane Shields Timberlake. He was married to the late Mabel Ruth Eblin Timberlake, who died Feb. 14, 2006.
Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was a plumber, a member of Franklin Covenant Church, and had a love for writing poetry, working with his flowers, gardening and trains.
He is survived by four children, Jim Timberlake of Mt. Dora, Fla., Jill Martin of Windham, N.H., Jeanne Bass of Orlando, Fla., and Jayne Sulpizio of Ocoee, Fla.; one sister, Genevieve Ward and husband Elza of Vero Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Michael Sulpizio, Michelle Porter, Cheryl Martin, Kathryn Martin, Jason Bass, Joseph Bass, Sarah Nelle Timberlake, Leigh Anne Timberlake and James Andrew Timberlake; five great- grandchildren, Bethany Anne Sulpizio, Cheyenne Sulpizio, Savanah Sulpizio and Sarah Michelle Porter; and one niece, Katherine Jordan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at Franklin Covenant Church, with Rev. John Makinson officiating.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at Macon Funeral Home.

R. A McEwen died Friday August 24 1951 in Watrous and Nokomis. Robin Alexander McEwen. He would have been 74 years of age on Saturday. He came to the West in 1900 before the formation of the province of Saskatchewan. He spent 5 years at Lumsden.
On Dec 27, 1906 he married Nettie Elliott of Aylesbury formerly of Teviotdale ON. during the next 4 years operated a general store at Aylesbury.
In Jan 1911 they moved to the new town of Nokomis having purchased the W N Ingham store business. 23 years ago he retired from store business and was employed by the Canadian Credit Mens Assoc for a few years and for 7 years was a collector for the Massey- Harris Co out of Saskatoon.
They then moved from Nokomis to Watrous in Oct 1944 and since then he had been district representative of Investors Syndicate of CAN Ltd. Had always been of good health so death came as a shock to all his family & friends. Prominent in sports circles in younger days.
Surviving besides sorrowing wife are 2 brothers Turnbull & Grant McEwen both of Hamilton ON; Mrs T P Hodgson in Davisburg Michigan; Mrs T Edwards & Mrs Jewel Mawhinney Toronto. Mr George Jarvis Saskatoon is a cousin.
Also attending were the widow's sister & brother in law Mr & Mrs Gordon McRae Aylesbury; her bro Austin A Elliott of Moose Jaw, their son Eldon of Nokomis; Mr & Mrs Dan Rose of Liberty. Grant flew up to attend the funeral and stayed for a few days.
