SISTER YVETTE CROTEAU (Sister M. St. Odilon) Passed away peacefully on June 10, 2001 at the Mother-House of the Missionary Oblate Sisters in St. Boniface,
Sister Yvette Croteau, aged 88 years, and after 63 years of religious life. She leaves to mourn her passing, the members of her religious community among whom is her sister Rachel Croteau from St. Boniface, MB.
She also leaves other relatives, a brother Archie Croteau and spouse Marguerite of Vero Beach, FL, USA; a sister-in-law Jeanne dArc Croteau from Welland, ON; a sister-in-law Rose Irma Croteau from Ste-Foy, PQ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sister Yvette was a quiet, unobtrusive person who performed her duties with diligence. She was assigned to Gravelbourg, SK, to Quebec City, PQ, to Marie-Reine and Nampa in AB, to Jardin Langevin and the Retreat House in St. Boniface, to St. Charles and Ile des Chenes in Manitoba.
In 1990 she came to the Mother-House where she helped in many ways. Members of the Congregation, family, and friends may pay their respects at the Mother-House, 601 Aulneau St. in St. Boniface at 9:15 a.m. on June 14, when viewing and prayers will take place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on June 14, at 601 Aulneau St. The cremated remains will be interred in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Archibald Street.
