Portsmouth Times, 7 May 1945

Mrs. Frances Shover Mrs. Frances Ellen Shover of Friendship who died Saturday in Mercy hospital at the age of 83, will be buried Tuesday in Friendship Methodist cemetery. Preceding internment under direction of Emrick funeral home, Rev. William F. Clay will officiate at the funeral at 2:30 p.m. in Friendship Methodist church. The widow of Benjamin F. Shover, the octogenarian was born June 22, 1861. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, Edward and William F. of Friendship; two brothers, William Davis of New Boston and John Davis of Portsmouth and three sisters, Mrs. Effie Hughes of Columbus, Mrs. Mary Campbell of Latham and Mrs. Lyra Davis of Valley View.
