John J. Crotteau, 47, died Thursday (4 May 1995) at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Funeral services were Monday at the St. Francis Island Chapel in Rice Lake, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery and military rites accorded by the Rice Lake American Legion Post.

Mr. Crotteau was born May 7, 1947 to Mary and Maurice Crotteau in Rice Lake. He was a 1965 graduate of Rice Lake High School, after which he enlisted in the Navy, serving 4 years.

He was employed by Nichols Home Shield in Rice Lake. Mr. Crotteau is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Nemeth, Danylle Demars and April Crotteau, all of Rice Lake; a son, Michael of Milwaukee; his mother, Mary of Rice Lake; three brothers, Franklin of Ridgecrest, Calif.; Richard and Thomas, both of Rice Lake; two half brothers, Maurice Crotteau Jr. of Rice Lake and Delbert of Minnesota; three sisters, Lee Mlejnek and Beverly Wiesner, both of Rice Lake, and Marion Newman of Sarona; and four grandchildren.
