Corinne Marie Anne Croteau, 78, a former resident of Lawrence, MA. and a recent resident of Brentwood , NH, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, N.H.
She was born (Circa 1929) in Lawrence, MA. and educated in Danvers local schools and was a graduate of Danvers High School. She worked for 18 years for the Internal Revenue Service as an Tax Examiner. According to her family she loved to play bingo, read to shool children and loved her own grand children and great grand children.
She is the wife of the late: Roger J. Croteau Sr. and she leaves her 3 children: her daughter: Donna and her husband Kevin Lemay of Salem, N.H. and sons Roger J. Jr. and his wife Cindy of Marblehead, MA. and Daniel Croteau of Salem, N.H. and her two sisters: Anita Ware and Alice Dane both of Texas, 6 grand children, 2 great grand children and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home Friday, March 16, 2007 at 10:00AM. A burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.

Roger Croteau moved to Hamilton Ontario after WW II and his release from the army. He took up residency and worked for 25 years at the Dominion Foundries Steel Mill (DOFASCO).
He was an avid member of the Veterans Club. In his spare time he learned through mail correspondence, how to repair and maintain heavy equipment. He was very good at this with marks in the high 80's and 90's! In 1975 he and Dorothy moved to Sturgeon Falls where he converted his "cottage" to a winter home. He loved the outdoors and the freedom of fishing when he wanted. He became the local handy man for others living around him. He was exceptionally smart when it came to building construction.
Eventually his health started to deteriorate and he was hospitalized for various illness's until his death in 2003.

Loving grandfather to "His Buddy" Matthew Chivers of North Bay, Danielle Croteau of Brantford, Tammy Campbell (Dave) of Burlington, Brenda Lapell of Toronto, and great-grandson Gregory Campbell of Burlington.
Roger will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Simone Croteau, Lucienne Mancini, Jean Gingros, Rita Drew and Richard Croteau. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Julienne Berard, Emile Croteau, Conrad Croteau, Lucille Cote and Donald Letarte.
Roger was a six year war Veteran and worked for 25 years at Dofasco. As per his request, there will be no visitation. Funeral service to be held today at 11 a.m. at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roger can be made to the charity of your choice and will be greatly acknowledged by family.
