Janet L. Croteau CROTEAU Janet L. Croteau Great-grandmother, bowling association secretary, 76 Janet L. (Rebholz) Croteau, 76, of Linden, a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008.
Per her request, Mrs. Croteau was cremated and her ashes were interred with her husband, Robert, at a private burial service in Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden. A private funeral service was held by the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.werson funeralhome.com.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Croteau lived in Tennessee, Michigan, Delaware, Massachusetts and Roselle, N.J., until her marriage in 1954, and then spent the rest of her life in Linden.
She was employed by Weston Instruments for seven years in the personnel department and was a secretary for 38 years for the Union County Bowling Association in Roselle Park, N.J., retiring in 2000. She was active for many years in the Linden P.T.A., P.A.L. Mothers Club, Firemen and Police Auxiliary, the Grand Ladies Social Club, and the Linden Citizens Association. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Croteau loved to travel.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle and her husband, Edward Bialick; a son, Brian and his wife, Noreen Croteau; two grandchildren, Christine (Croteau) Lukko and Kyle Bialick, and a greatgrandson, Jake Lukko; she is also survived by a sister, Josephine, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert; her parents, Catherine and Joseph Rebholz; sisters, Emma and Virginia, and a brother, Richard.

HOOKSETT -- Robert Bruce Croteau, 62, died April 13, 2010, at Concord Hospital after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was born in Manchester, Aug. 15,1947, to Rosaire L. and Irene C. (Ledoux) Croteau. He was a lifelong resident of Hooksett.
He was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School of Manchester and Lain Technical Institute in Indianapolis. He served in the US Navy as a Sea Bee in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970.
Upon his return he worked in the family construction business and was a master woodworker. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, walking, trips to the beach and his many pets over the years.
Mr. Croteau was an amazing son, brother, father and uncle who, more than anything, loved his family and friends. All who knew him loved him.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his parents of Hooksett; a daughter, Dawn Croteau of Hooksett; a sister, JoAnne Croteau of Hooksett; two nieces, Laurie (Sanfason) Wilder of Hooksett and Nicole (Long) Wright of Wilton; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester, Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 207 Hemlock St., corner of Webster Street, Manchester, Saturday at 1p.m.
Private burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.

Unable to place Robert in the Croteau tree until I find the parents information on an "Arthur Joseph Croteau" who married Eva May Cattral someplace near Ottawa Ontario we believe.
While searching Messena, NY I found a 1900 Ogdensburg Census that connects an "Arthur Croteau" just a few miles east of Messena, NY, USA. Willow Croteau confirmed her fathers BC indicated he was born as indicated in these records.

LEWISTON - Mr. Robert C. Croteau, 85, of Dion Street, died early Wednesday morning,March 2, at d'Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 22, 1919, a son of Aime and Anita (Marquis) Croteau.
He was educated in local schools, graduated from Lewiston High School, and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
Bob was veteran of the military, having served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
On Nov. 5, 1945, he married the former Therese Raiche, who predeceased him on Nov. 17, 1993.
He worked 47 years at St. Peter's Cemetery, serving as executive director for many of those years, until his retirement in 1988.
He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul's Parish and in recent years attended Holy Family Church.
He was a longtime administrator for Saints Peter & Paul's Parish, a position which also included Saints Peter & Paul's School and St. Dom's Regional High School.
He leaves a son, attorney Norman R. Croteau of Lewiston; Patricia J. Croteau of Monmouth; a granddaughter, Brianne K. O'Donnell of Portland; two grandsons, Sean S. O'Donnell and his wife, Mary, and Robert C. Croteau of Lewiston; a great-grandson, Sean O'Donnell; and a sister, Juliette Comptois of Michigan.
He was predeceased by a brother, Leo Croteau; and two sisters, Theresa Plourde and Aline Croteau.
