SOMERSWORTH - Eunice A. Croteau, 71, of Indigo Hill Road, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine.
Born in Madbury on July 7, 1926, she was the daughter of David Arthur and Irene (Lemay) Hayes.
Eunice attended schools in Madbury and Dover. She was a longtime resident of Dover prior to moving here in 1960.
In her younger years, she worked at Clarostat Manufacturing Co. in Dover and later at the General Electric Co. Eunice was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Her husband, Richard A. Croteau, died in 1993.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Mercado Comeau, Mrs. Ronald (Nancy) Grenier, and Mrs. Douglas (Linda) Cashman, all of Somersworth; two sons, Roger Croteau and his wife, Nancy and Paul Croteau and his wife, Vicki, all of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Seth Hayes of Madbury and Albert Hayes of Spartanburg, S.C.; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Priscilla Gibb, Abagail Cronin, Grace Scott, Lillian Hayes and Elizabeth Conney, and two brothers, Benjamin Hayes and Joseph Hayes.

Richard Creteau
DOVER - Richard B. Creteau, 72, of 8 Northam Drive died Sunday, June 13, 1999 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a period of failing health.
Born Nov. 30, 1926, in Gonic, NH he was the son of Alphonse Croteau and Juliette (Croteau) Croteau.
A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was employed as caretaker of the Tidewater Farm in Rollinsford and as service station attendant at both Bob's Gulf Station and Gasses Station of Dover. He also worked as driver for both Tasker Funeral Home and the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home.
He was a member of First Parish Church and was former head usher and served on the Mission and Action Board.
He was also a house parent for nine years for the ABC House.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Alice (Dame) Creteau of Dover; a stepson, Phil A. Jennison of Rollinsford; a stepdaughter, Susan B. Jennison of Dover; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Wood of Rochester; two granddaughters, Kristie and Rebecca Jennison; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Kevin Jennison; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lavoie and one niece, Sandra Cartier of Rochester.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Parish Church, Congregational, with the Rev. David L. Slater, pastor, officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie (Gray) Croteauof Fayetteville, a son, Dr. David Croteau and his wife Theresa of Corvalis, Mont.; a daughter, Kathleen Provencher and her husband Jay of Waterbury Center; a stepson ArvilCallihan of Florida; five sisters, June Wheeler of Holiday, Fla.; Kathleen Collins of West Berlin; Virginia Chiaravalle of Hyde Park; Ann Emmons of Randolph Center, and Janice Halford of West Berlin. YARMOUTHPORT \emdash Susan L. (Shepard) Croteau, 58, of Yarmouthport, died at her home on Friday, April 4, 2008.
She was the beloved wife of Richard D. Croteau for 36 years.
Born in Norwood, Mrs. Croteau was raised and educated in Wrentham, and was a 1968 graduate of King Phillip High School.
Mrs. Croteau worked as a bookkeeper for Hillsingers and for the former Allen Cornell Photography Studio, both in Plainville. Most recently, she worked as a homemaker for Gentiva Health Services on Cape Cod.
A former resident of North Attleboro, Mrs. Croteau moved to West Yarmouth in 1978 and to Yarmouthport in 1984.
Mrs. Croteau was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cooking. She was a very compassionate woman and enjoyed caring for others, both young and old. She also enjoyed camping at Fox Hollow in Naples, Maine, and spending time in Hollywood Beach, Fla.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Croteau is survived by a daughter, Amy Bearman and her husband, David, of Halifax; a son, Mathew Croteau of Yarmouthport; her mother, Dorothy M. (Mathewson) Rammel and her husband, Alden, of Plainville; three brothers, George Shepard of Plainville, and Richard Shepard and Thomas Rammel, both of North Attleboro; a sister, Carolyn Villeneuve of Attleboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, George M. Shepard, and a daughter, Stacey A. Croteau.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Interment will follow in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouthport.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, in the funeral home.

Althea married Richard Croteau on July 24, 1943, and in 2008, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Except for 20 very enjoyable years living in Plymouth, she lived in the Twin Cities of Leominster and Fitchburg all of her life.
Althea was extremely dedicated to her family and loved nothing more than being in the company of her loved ones, be it a holiday gathering or just a regular Sunday afternoon. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard Croteau of Leominster; her two children, Victoria Kimber and her husband, Stephen, of Westminster and Jay Croteau of Leominster; her sister, Pauline Bizotto of Fitchburg; her grandchildren, Matthew Kimber and his wife, Stephanie, of Keene, N.H., Katherine Kimber of Leominster, Michelle Salih and her husband, Sam, of Worcester, Travis Croteau and Vanessa Croteau, both of Worcester; her two great-grandchildren, Sam and Adam Salih, both of Worcester and several nieces and nephews.

For your Genealogy records, my father James Henry Drew, born 28 May 1918 in Montreal, died 10 December 2001 at the hospital in Lachine, QC. He never remarried. He is buried at the Rideau Memorial Gardens in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC. For the record, my father was a very caring person, hard-working, with a big heart and a kind trusting soul. He had a great sense of humor and was liked by everyone. His favourite pass time, in his later years was reading, especially the newspaper - always wanted to keep up on what was happening in the world.

Rita Thibodeau
BERLIN, NH,--Rita (Croteau) Thibodeau, 78 of Church Street, Berlin, NH, passed away on Monday, January 17,2005, after a brief illness. She had been a patient of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover.
Born in Berlin on September 19, 1926, she was the daughter of Edgar Croteau, and Rosa (Roy) Croteau. Mrs. Thibodeau attended school at St. Regis Academy. She entered the work force at the Potluck Restaurant, and later worked at the Granite State Rubber Company.
She retired in the mid 1980s from Gamm Manufacturing. Aside from her employment, Mrs. Thibodeau was a mother to 12 children. She enjoyed bingo and other activities, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grand children. She was also a member of St. Anne Church, now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepard Parish.
Mrs. Thibodeau is survived by her 12 children, Edgar Thibodeau, and wife Barbara of Berlin, Norman Thibodeau and wife Denise of Berlin, stepson Sherwood Thibodeau of Tolan, CT, Priscilla Breault, and husband Dick, Linda Lamontagne and husband Ricky, both of Berlin, Barbara Boucher and husband Ron of Rochester, NH, Claire Campbell and husband Mike of Berlin, Theresa Pandora and husband Edward of Dixfield, ME, Louise Frechette, and husband John of Berlin, Lucy Nolet, and husband Peter of Milan, NH, Gail Hawkins, and husband Reed of Berlin, and Shirley Dupont and husband Armand, also of Berlin. She is also survived by a sister, Claire Riendeau, of Berlin. She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 16 great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Friends and relatives may call on the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, in Berlin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m., at St Anne Church of Good Shepard Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin.
Burial will be in St. Kieran Cemetery, immediately following the service.
