CROTEAU Raymond Philip May 3, 1929 - January 23, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Raymond Croteau of Red Deer and Edmonton on Tuesday, January 23, 2008.
Ray is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Anne (nee Savich); sons Philip and Kenneth (Genny); daughters Deborah (Bryan) Klingzahn and Colette Marchand; six grandchildren, Christopher, Steven, Kahli, Nathan, Charlotte and Adam and first great-grandchild, soon to arrive.
Raymond also leaves one sister, Mary Pagee (Keith) of Thunder Bay, ON, his predeceased sister Yvonne Wisneski of Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ray will be remembered for his love for his family and brought to them his passion for photography, the outdoors (sailing especially) and woodworking. As "Jack of all trades" he enjoyed home projects and "giving it a go" with his boys. We remember him with fondness as "Sailor Ray, Skippy Ray, Bumpa, and Papa Smurf". He was dedicated to his faith and involved in the Knights of Columbus.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Thomas Moore Parish at 210 Haddow Close, Edmonton, AB, T6R 2P3 on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Ray will be laid to rest at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Edmonton. A Memorial Service is planned for Red Deer at a later date.

Joseph Eugene Reginald "Joe" Croteau of Surprise, Ariz., formerly of Lane County, died May 2 of congestive heart failure and complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was 89. A memorial service is planned for a later date at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
He was born Feb. 3, 1922, in London, Ontario, Canada, to Hermas and Clara Kingsley Croteau. He married Helen Jackson in December 1941 in Detroit. They divorced in 1973.
He graduated from high school in Detroit. He served in the Coast Guard from 1942 to 1946, serving in the Pacific during World War II. He worked as a dairy delivery route driver for Arden Farms.
Survivors include his life partner of 23 years, Barbara Konstan; two daughters, Claudia Croteau Johnson of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Cynthia Croteau Salas of Truckee, Calif.; two sons, James of Eugene and John of Haiku, Hawaii; and four grandchildren. A grandson, John Croteau, died previously.
