There are TWO Francois Croteau's in this family. Note one is named Xavier the other is named Edouard. Do Not Confuse the two. I'm still working on who's children where born to which Francois.
Note:
The 1880 US Census gives Thomas Croteau born in 1844 not 20 Dec 1823. This is the correct family but he has a 22 year old daugher. I suspect the form should read 56 not 36 which would place his year of birth at 1824... ergo, I have the correct date of birth because they ask the question, "how old will you be on your next birthday?"

She attended Barre City schools and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1931, she married Joseph Dessureau, who died in 1983. She and her husband were founders of Dessureau Machine Inc. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include one sister, Claire Harrington; one brother, Harvey Croteau; one sister-in-law Lina Croteau; nieces and nephews.
