Research Notes: Husband - John Baptiste Richards
1870 Census Rudolph, WIS, USA
Family 24
In the 1870 US Census report, J.B. Richards is living with Joseph & Constant Schorter (??) family. There is a Roslia Richards age: 19 (circa 1851) listed as living with her mother.
Family 25
The next family listed displays a Mary Richards age 45 (circa 1825) born in Canada with a son named Nicholas age 11 (circa 1859) born in Wisconsin, USA.
It is our beliefe that Mary is the mother of Nicholas Richards. There is 13 years difference between the ages of Mary and John Baptiste but he could still be the father of Nicholas although he is taken up in the census report in house 24 instead of house 25.
I'm not sure where Roselia comes into the family just yet but she is listed as married to Jean Baptiste Richards in the 1880 Census.
Notes: Marriage
I'm not sure about this marriage just yet. Mary could be John Baptiste Richards sister and not his wife. I have to find the family group in the 1851 QC Census before the immigration of the family to the USA.
