Germaine M. Fanjoy, 83, of Portsmouth died Jan. 17, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church on Summer Street, Portsmouth, at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Visiting hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth. Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to Portsmouth Home Health & Hospice, 95 Brewery Lane, Portsmouth, NH 03801 or to the Alzheimer?s Association, 10 Ferry St., Concord, NH 03301.

PORTSMOUTH - Germaine Medora Fanjoy, 83, of Portsmouth passed away at home on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, after a long illness.
Born on Oct. 14, 1920, in Berlin, she was the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Croteau) Croteau and moved to Portsmouth at the age of 16.
She was employed for many years at the former Continetal Shoe Shop, later for Portsmouth Produce, and was a foster parent for the Great Bay School and Training Center.
She resided with her brother Roger Croteau, and their caregivers, daughter Nancy Page and granddaughter Lisa Desjardens.
The widow of Russell R. Fanjoy Sr. who died in 1967, she is survived by her children, Shirley G. Mudgett of Goffstown, Sally E. Delisle and husband Andrew of Gorham, Nancy D. Page of Kittery, Maine, Russell R. Fanjoy Jr. and wife Sharon of Northwood, Kenneth Fanjoy and wife Virginia of Portsmouth; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Croteau of Portsmouth, Philip Croteau of Eliot, Maine, Paul Croteau of Merrimac, Mass.; a sister, Doris Dube of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son, Roland Fanjoy.
