Delia "Dee" Courteau, 90, of Eliot, Maine, died Oct. 26, 2000, at Langdon Place, after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Dover, the daughter of Cesaire and Cordelia (Croteau) Houde. She was employed in the weaving room of Cocheco Mills and later worked for Clarostat, retiring in the late 1960s.
She enjoyed bowling, bingo, knitting, crocheting and decorating cakes. She designed and sewed clothing for her daughters and nieces, sewed doll clothing, and made Christmas gifts for family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Edmond Frank Courteau; two daughters, Doris, and her husband, Kenneth Roulx of Middleton, Conn., and Frances Heaton of Amherst; two sisters, Beatrice Turgeon and Irene Ouellette; three brothers, Raymond, Armand and Robert; two grandsons; a granddaughter; four great-grandsons; a very special cousin, Rose Turgeon; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Courteau was predeceased by four sisters, Grace Therrien, Yvonne Turgeon, Rita Michaud and Edna Garneau; and two brothers, Alfred and Isadore.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 30 in St. Charles Church, Dover. Burial followed in St. Charles Cemetery, Dover.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Charles Church, 577 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820. The Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home in Dover was in charge of arrangements.

Edmond Joseph Croteau, son of Joseph D. Croteau and Laura La Gorce Croteau died Sunday, January 28, 2007.
He was born in Worcester, April 12, 1915 and he leaves his wife of 62 years, Rita E. Galipeau Croteau; five children, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
His sons, E. Joseph and wife Lynne, Gene A. and wife Diane and Charles P., are all of Worcester. His two daughters, Jane A. and husband Ronald Dupont and Mary L. and husband Francis McKiernan live in Worcester.
He also leaves two brothers, Oscar P. Croteau of Ocala, Fla. and Arthur Croteau of Auburn; and a sister Rita O'Donnell of Leicester. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Henry Croteau and two sisters, Germaine Lambert and Estelle O'Brien.
Ed attended Commerce High School and Worcester Boys Trade School. In World War II, he volunteered for service and became a Sergeant in the Army Air Force.
He served with the 565th Radar Unit throughout the Pacific Theater for 44 months. He was a union carpenter and the boss carpenter for the Worcester Center for five years. He was a member for over 50 years of the Grafton Hill American Legion Post.
Ed was a member of the Carpenters Local 107 for 60 years. He was an excellent compost gardener and made clocks as a hobby. His generosity was demonstrated as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in the Main South area for 20 years, with the Worcester Public Library book sales and at the Ecotarium. He will be remembered for his love of family, optimism and great sense of humor.
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Tuesday, January 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 31 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester.
Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester 01608 or Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester 01604.
