GRAFTON: Phyllis T. ( Contois ) Croteau, 83, passed Friday February 18, 2011 at The Christopher House in Worcester from Alzheimers. She leaves her devoted husband of 61 years Arthur F. She was preceded in death by her parents William I. and H. Mabel (Skidmore) Contois and two sisters, Lucille and Dorothy. Phyllis was born December 29, 1927 in Worcester, raised there graduating from Commerce High School. She moved to Grafton in 1955 living on Martin Dr. until entering nursing care in 2003. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who also worked as secretary and dispatcher to the Chief at The Grafton Police Department and then as a bookkeeper at White's Cleaners in Worcester. Phyllis along with her husband was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in North Grafton. The family suggests memorial donations for Phyllis to Christopher House Activities Fund, 10 Mary Scano Dr. Worcester MA 01605.

Funeral & Calling Hours - Calling hours will be Tuesday February 22nd from 5 to 8 pm at The Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. North Grafton. The funeral will be Wednesday February 23rd with people gathering at the funeral home at 9:15 am and then taking Phyllis to her parish Church of St. Mary 17 Waterville St. North Grafton for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. CASSOPOLIS -- Rev. Albert Samuel Cooper Sr., 73, of 217 S. O'Keefe Street, Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005, at l:05 p.m. in the Lakeland Medical Center, Niles, Michigan, after a short Illness.

He was born March 31, 1932, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Raymond and Melvina (Croteau) Cooper. He has been a resident of this area since 1963, coming from Rochester, Michigan.

He married the former Martha M. Lewis on March 3, 1951, in Pontiac, and she survives. He is also survived by 2 sons, Rev. LaMar A. Cooper and his wife, Vicki of Centerville, OH, and Thomas L. Cooper and his wife, Rebecca of Carlisle, OH; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Sharon Boas of Waterford, MI, Carol Fleisher and Judy Alien, both of Drayton Plains, MI, and Diane Saddler of White Lake, MI; and 2 brothers, Ronald Cooper of Cassopolis and Melvin Cooper of Duncan, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Pamela Ann Cooper; 2 sons, Albert S. Cooper Jr. (known as baby AL) and Gary Ray Cooper; 2 sisters, Betty Lewis and Barbara Townsend; and 3 brothers, Ray Cooper, Leo Cooper and Jay Cooper.

In 1963 Albert became the Pastor of the Vandalia Gospel Lighthouse in Vandalia, Michigan, where he and Martha pastored for 11 years. In 1974 he founded the Lord's House Church in Cassopolis. In 1984 he moved the church to its present location on Decatur Road in Cassopolis. He remained the Senior Pastor there until his death. He also had worked in the RV industry, and retired from L.E.R. Industries in Elkhart to become the full-time Pastor of the Lord's House Church.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. in the Lord's House Church. Officiating will be his son, Rev. LaMar A. Cooper, Associate Pastor of Miamisburg Assembly of God, Miamisburg, OH.

Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis. The family will receive friends today from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in the Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Lord's House Church Building Fund.
