Simone A. Cloutier
BERLIN -- Simone A. (Croteau) Cloutier, 88, died April 11, 2009, at Coos County Nursing Home following a brief illness, with her family by her side.
She was born in Berlin, May 14, 1920, to Odina and Emma (Giguere) Croteau. She attended St. Regis Academy and Berlin High School and was a lifetime resident of the area.
In earlier years, she was active in the Dames de St. Anne and St. Anne Social Club. She was also involved with the Golden Age Club, MESH and the Holiday Center.
For many years, Simone and the family enjoyed time spent at camp both on Akers Pond and at St. Malo, P.Q., Canada. She loved to go on trips with the Holiday Center and visited Florida. She had also enjoyed sugaring parties in Canada. In later years, she loved to play cards and bingo. She had moved into the Coos County Nursing Home in 2004 and while there, enjoyed working on paintings.
She was predeceased by her husband, Abel J. Cloutier, on Jan. 5, 1992, and grandchildren Dawna Laflamme, Dana Paquette and John Arsenault.
Family members include three sons, Richard A. Cloutier of Nashua, Roland M. Cloutier of Stark and Arizona, and Rene P. Cloutier of Massachusetts; three daughters, Gloria Belanger of Gorham and Florida, Lorraine Duchesne of Dummer and Florida, and Denise Devoid of Berlin; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one nephew and many cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., in Berlin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church, 345 Pleasant St. in Berlin. Interment will follow the services in St. Anne Cemetery, Hutchins Street in Berlin.

HAVERHILL, MA \endash Mrs. Bertha E. (Croteau) (Cloutier) Ducharme, 91, of Haverhill, MA, and formerly of Lawrence, MA, and Plaistow, died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Wingate at Haverhill.
Born in Lawrence, she attended the Sacred Hearts Schools in South Lawrence, and was a former member of Sacred Hearts Parish. She was formerly employed in the dietary department of the Lawrence General Hospital and also in the billing department of Prudential Life Insurance Co. and the records department of the Andover Companies.
A former resident of Plaistow from 1980 until 2003, Mrs. Ducharme was a member of Holy Angels Parish.
The wife of the late Lionel Cloutier, who died in 1958 and the late Joseph C. Ducharme, who died in 1995; she is survived by a daughter, Eileen (Cloutier) Kibildis, of Haverhill, step-daughters, Kathy Uto of North Carolina, Jane Dalzell and husband Bob of Londonderry, and Donna Ducharme of Haverhill; step-son Michael Ducharme of Georgia; grandchildren, Laurin Kibildis and Adam Kibildis, step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Dalzell, Matthew Dalzell, David Ducharme, Andrea Uto, Jessica Uto and Debbie (MacDonald) Ainsworth, also two great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Croteau of Suncook; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a step-daughter Diane (Ducharme) MacDonald, brothers, Leon and Albert Croteau, and sister, Irene Beattie.
Her funeral was held on November 18, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow, followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow. Burial was in Sacred Hearts Cemetery, South Lawrence, MA.
