Robert G. Crotteau
Robert G. Crotteau, 81, of 171 15th Ave. N., Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.
Memorial services are at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. George Nelson Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Robert was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Rudolph, to Elmer and Stella (Rokus) Crotteau. He married Mary Lou Busch on March 31, 1945, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Robert was the plant manager for Fischer's Dairy for 22 years, retiring in 1993. Robert then was the maintenance engineer for First National Bank (U.S. Bank) for 16 years. He was a part-time employee for almost 40 years for General Business Inc.
Bob was truly a family man. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He was a people person who enjoyed meeting and getting to know others.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou; his five children, Susan Boehm; Catherine (Jere) Jackson; James (Peg) Crotteau; Marcie (Duane) Bier and David (Arlene) Crotteau, all of Wisconsin Rapids.
He also is survived by his grandchildren, Shelley Boehm, Seth (Pam) Boehm, Sam Boehm, Wendy Sheer, Bryan (Jessica) Jackson, Kelly Crotteau, Tony Crotteau, Elizabeth Crotteau and Troy Bier, and great-grandchildren, Rory Sheer, Jeremy Sheer, Chance Boehm, Lucas Boehm, Brody Jackson, Hajna Nagy and Asher Nagy.
He further is survived by his brothers, Donald (Dorothy) Crotteau of Orogrande, N.M. and Richard (Doris) Crotteau of Rudolph and one half-sister, Elsie Kruger of Wisconsin Rapids.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elaine Jacunski and Gloria Crotteau; half-brothers, Leo and Ed and half-sisters; Helen and Alma, son-in-law, Steven Boehm and granddaughter, Joy Crotteau.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church.
Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is handling all arrangements.
Dad was a special person who allowed himself the pleasures of being close to others and caring about their happiness. He truly made life special for all of us.
