Your Dorothy Sullivan married a Roland Croteau, born 6 Jul 1915 in Holyoke, MA, USA. Rolands parents are Edward Croteau and Rose Broulette born about 1897 in MA.
Edward's parents are Jeffery Croteau and Mary Wilks born in upper state around 1850-1885.
I found the 1920 Holyoke, MA Census report with a Roland b: 1915 , Rene b: 1916 and (mother) Rose b: 1897 - she was living with her parents at the time. There is no mention of Edward. Rolands father was indicated as born in New York on this census report.
In the 1930 Holyoke, MA Census report I find Roland with his mother Rose, and Rene. The father (Edward) is not listed - but indicated he was born in New Jersey.

Seems Joseph & Harriett missed the Canadian 1901 Census and had moved to the USA by this time. I can't find him in the 1900 US census.
One web site listed a Joseph married to a Henriette who was born to a Joseph and Josephe Croteau. I'm making an assumption this is the correct family although there is a Joseph & Henriette living in New Jersery, USA.
Research Notes: Child - Marcel CROTEAU
There may be two Marcel Croteau men living in Bromptonville, QC at the same time. One is married to Delima Rivard the other married to Delima Lavigne.
Check out this possibility because there are too many children all born around the same time, in the same town, but too close together to have an 8 month gestation period.
When reading the birth records, I generally see the surname of either one of the wives, but not both together.

Mrs. Rodger Brown Dies at Thornbury in her 85th Year. One of Thornbury's oldest residents, died at her home on Monday. She was in her 85th year. Born in Collingwood township in a small community known as Banks, she was the former Annie McArthur, daughter of the late Hugh and Annie McArthur. She was the second youngest of a family of 12 and the last survivor. In 1893 she married Rodger Brown of Banks, who survived her. They moved to Thornbury 60 years ago. Members of her family surviving are Margaret, Mrs. G.H. Little, and Flora, Mrs. S. Gray both of Brantford; Cameron of Toronto and Jessie and Hugh at home. Another daughter, Annie Marie, died when 15 years of age. The late Mrs. Brown attended the Presbyterian Church, was interested in her home and devoted to her family
