Mabel Evelyn (Croteau) Brodeur
Mabel Evelyn (Croteau) Brodeur, 89, of State St. died Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Born July 6, 1919 in Keene, NH to the late Henry and Permelia Croteau,
Mabel lived in West Brookfield for 40 years before moving to Monson in 1995. She was a graduate of Broms Beauty Academy in Worcester. She owned and operated May's Beauty Salon in West Brookfield for more than 20 years. When she moved to Monson she was a volunteer and member of the Monson Senior Center.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Edgar L. Brodeur in 1989 and a son, Marshall R. Brodeur in 1998. She leaves her sons, Ronald L. Brodeur and his wife Jeanne of Zephyrhills, Fl and Robert E. Brodeur of Ware; a daughter in-law, Elizabeth Brodeur of Bloomsburg, PA; a brother, Alex Croteau of Upton; a sister, Dorothy Croteau of Grafton; four grandchildren, JulieAnne Brodeur-McCready, Todd Brodeur, Michael Brodeur and Jamie Brodeur; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2009 at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St., Monson, MA. A visiting hour will be held from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. all in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
